Demystify drawing by tapping into the fun of it and open the possibility that you have just as much right to draw as anyone. Give yourself permission to see the world through beginners eyes and learn to incorporate drawing into your life as a valuable present moment awareness practice. Before you know it, you may be picking up your Moleskin instead of your cell phone, and in doing so, create a powerful impact on yourself and those you love by using drawing to reduce stress and increasing creativity. During January, you can look forward to large and small scale drawing with sumi ink, uniball pen, pencil, oil pastels, and other mediums.
Tuesdays 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM | February 5, 12, 19, 26
Wednesdays 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM | February 6, 13, 20, 27
Tap into the power of card making and exchange as an expressive way to connect with others, from those you love to new friends. Using drawing, printmaking, and collage, you will flow into the creative zone, expanding your capability as a visual communicator. The intention of connection will be felt as you give and send your cards to family, and old and new friends alike, as you build bridges through art. During February, make Valentine’s Day cards, participate in a postcard exchange, and create messages using collage, drawing, and writing.

Field Trip Interlude
Let’s go on art field trips! Bring your Moleskin and join the group at the groups choice of locations, art galleries, cafes, and outdoors if the weather is amenable, or a combo of all the above. Enjoy the adventure!

Wednesdays 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM| April 3, 10, 17, 24
Let’s stretch! Moving into 3-D work will be a bit of a stretch for me and hopefully for you too. Together we will explore creating armature with wire and cardboard or papier-mâché that you will build into figurative or abstract art pieces. Allow your imagination to soar as you create with this light weight, expressive, additive process. And if you choose to do so, form your collection of paper sculptures into parts of your very own mobile. Lets roll up our sleeves and get quirky!
Tuesdays 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM | May 7, 14, 21, 28
Wednesdays 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM | May 8, 15, 22, 29
Nature is the ultimate artist! Let’s attune to mother nature as we explore a variety of processes including plant printing, rust-eco-bundle printing, and other techniques. In May, we will travel out into the field as well as work in the studio. This is the perfect way for you to usher in summer with rich self-care and creative community.
